It is machined from aircraft-grade aluminum and uses a self-locking thumbnut that seats into the carry handle’s opening for a secure, repeatable zero. The rail works with NATO STANAG, 1913 Picatinny, and Weaver mounts, so it fits a wide range of optics.

The Z extension rail mounts on a standard GI handguard with two screws and has a quick-detach (QD) slot on each side. It is designed for M16A1 and A2 carry-handle rifles and standard GI AR-15 / M4 carbine setups.
